Little Evil- The Perfect Little Horror Movie

Only on Netflix can you find a horror movie that includes a big dose of humor. Seriously, this is a MUST watch! I mean, how could you not get sucked in to an opening scene that includes the biggest horror trope ever...pouring rain and an evil little boy? Not your typical antichrist, Lucas does hate his step-father, but there's a problem...it won't be that easy. His step-father actually wars against himself between wanting to kill Lucas and hoping to teach him to be a good person. There are a lot of nods toward popular horror movies--along with a few[...]

Time Again to Talk About Dolls

It's been a long time since I've talked about everyone's favorite scary thing...DOLLS! I swear, every month or so Pinterest bombards me with countless photos of DIY projects involving dolls. As much as they creep everyone out, I LOVE IT! While I don't think I'll be making these anytime soon, it has little to do with the concept and more about the availability of these little gems. So, I figured I'd share my updated Doll Pinterest board with you. And seriously guys...PLEASE send pics of ANYTHING you make. https://www.pinterest.com/kissedbyink/dolls/   xoxo[...]

Dexter- A Must Watch Show

A few years ago, I was obsessed with watching Dexter. I discovered the show via my public library's dvd collection. They only had the first few seasons, so I needed to buy the last one or two to keep watching. This show hit the spot. I mean, it had everything--murder, mystery, intrigue, romance, and blood. Tonight, after catching up on the latest episode of Homeland, I scrolled through to find something to watch next and came upon Dexter. I am excited to begin watching the series for a second time, because I am sure I missed a lot of details before.   The o[...]

Truth or Dare

There's nothing creepier than when something well known and played turns into something evil. We all know that Ouija boards conjure malevolent spirits. There have been many movies telling this tale. But in Truth or Dare, playing a simple game becomes deadly. What's next? Never Have I Ever--Psycho Edition? Wait. That's good. Someone want to write and direct this...now? If you haven't heard rumblings about this movie, check out the trailer below. Lucy Hale is said to give an amazing performance. Seen it? Let us know what you thought in the comments. xoxo, A &n[...]

The Santa Clarita Diet

What did we ever do without Netflix? Seriously? Once upon a time, we had to wait an entire week in order to watch the next episode in our favorite show. Now, we can binge watch umpteen seasons of shows like Friends in a matter of a month! But then what do you do when you finish watching all of these old favorites? You find something new. And it doesn't have to be a popular show, either. There are so many choices to be had. To make things even more exciting and diverse...Netflix has created its own shows!!! One such show is The Santa Clarita Diet. It was reco[...]

The Alienist

When I first heard about The Alienist, I wasn't interested in watching it. I thought it would be about aliens and be a science fiction show. I wasn't interested in that, but when iTunes had episode 1 for free, I couldn't help but check it out. That's when, with the opening, I discovered the true meaning of an alienist. Alienist- In the 19th century, the mentally ill were thought to be alienated from their own nature. Experts who studied them were know as alienists. This was enough to suck me in. This new TNT thriller revolves around a serial killer who prays on m[...]

Donnie Darko- The Perfect Bunny Movie

If we're going to talk about bunnies being scary, I first have to give a shout out to Anya from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. If you don't know why... Now this may be a bit of irony, but Donnie Darko takes the whole evil, creepy bunny to an entirely new level. Let me introduce you to Frank the Bunny.                         Before I tell you about the movie, here are a few fun facts: Donnie's mom is reading IT in one of the first scenes, Donnie takes Gretchen on a date to see EVIL DEAD, ther[...]

Ash vs. Evil Dead Revisited

Brian and I are HUGE Evil Dead fans. We actually met face-to-face three years ago at Comic Con in NYC--the very same one where there was an Ash vs. Evil Dead panel and a tour through Ash's trailer. How cool is this?! Fast forward to a few weeks ago, when one of my favorite horror shows comes back on STARZ. Now in its third season, Ash is back and so are the marvelous special effects. This show has THE BEST effects, from heads being cut off to fingers being severed by a saw. If you like slapstick slaughter, this show is definitely for you![...]

Moonlight TV Show

At home for a few days with sick kids, who then got me sick--so thankful they feel the need to share their germs--I got a little bored with what was available to stream. A while ago, I had downloaded the CW Seed app to my Apple TV so I could watch Constantine (see my Constantine TV post here and Brian's Constantine comic post here). After this, I didn't pay the rest of the shows any attention. So sick kids and mom rediscovers the app. Following? It seems as though 2006/07 were the comercial comeback years for vampires. Stephanie Meyer brought us sparkly Edward[...]

Better Watch Out: A New Horror Christmas Movie

I love a good deal on iTunes movies, so I promptly hit the "Rent" button when Better Watch Out was on sale for $0.99. Haven't heard of it? Well, it's a cross between Home Alone and Scream. This very campy holiday horror is perfect for those who love...80's movies. That is what this reminded me of. So if you love your horror with a ton of camp, this is for you! IMBD Summary: When you think the suburbs, you think safety, but this holiday night the suburbs are anything but safe. Ashley (Olivia DeJonge) thought this babysitting job was going to be an easy night, bu[...]
