Website Revamp: New Midnight Society Website

Submitted for the approval of the Midnight Society, I call the new website revamp complete! We were gone for a bit and like lots of things in Pet Sematary, we're back! Mary and I have spent lots and lots of time revamping our webpage and making it stronger than ever. Thank you Mary, I couldn't have done it without you! With this we have a brand new look, feel, and an optimized user experience. I hope you take some time to explore, as you would with any haunted house you visit.   SO WHAT'S NEW So glad you asked. Happy Birthday Jenna!

You probably know Jenna as an incredible writer. Or maybe you know her as a serial Pitch Wars Mentor, always looking to pay it forward and help authors get better. Or maybe you know her from her blog. And if not, you probably know her from Betty Bites Back, a feminist horror anthology! Either way, it's Jenna's birthday and we're here to celebrate her! *Dusts off the old vinyl record player, lights a candle, and starts to sway* Jenna, you are amazing. Hilarious. Kind. Thoughtful. Talented as Hell. (I seriously need the rest of the Dr. S book, okay?). I believe[...]

Happy Birthday Brian!

We all know him as the unstoppable force of good, fighting evil daily with his talents like writing, podcasting, wild puns, and knowledge of 80's hair metal. But today we shall also know him as BIRTHDAY BOY! Happy Birthday Brian. And in order to properly celebrate, we decided to throw you a concert. Enjoy!     I called up Quiet Riot to see if they'd be willing to open this music festival and they agreed--one one condition. We held the first part of the event at an abandoned insane asylum. What could go wrong...right? Get ready to bang your head![...]

Ch-Ch-Ch-Changes are Coming! The Midnight Society Makeover.

We celebrated something special this year. You probably saw the post, but on March 17, 2018, The Midnight Society turned four years old! So many blogs don't last a year. I remember when I dreamt up the idea, I was certain that no one would care and certainly no one would want to join...I love it when I'm wrong. Currently we have 9 incredible contributors, over 110,000 unique all time views, and a dedicated readership that we so appreciate. To celebrate, we are re-vamping the site. Soon you will notice a new look for The Midnight Society, new events, and a new[...]

Welcome to the Midnight Society, Erica!

We are extremely lucky to have nine amazing members. Faith, Kira, Kathy, Kim, Amy, Timon, Brian, and Jenna are all so fantastic. So naturally, we couldn't help ourselves when we were having a party this last Saturday night and someone broke out the Ouija board.   That's how we met Erica. We were a little skeptical of the contact until we asked her to reveal herself and well, let's just say that she proved her otherwordliness well enough. We think you'll love her. Really. Just try and ignore the black eyes. Welcome to the Midnight Society Erica! Mi[...]

Here Lies Melinda Harrison

We are so pleased and excited to have a new member join the ranks of The Midnight Society! This new member is incredible, funny, passionate, and quite the wordsmith. We lured her onto the grounds of The Midnight Society Mansion and of course, she mysteriously ended up dead. Without further ado... Welcome Melinda Harrison! Melinda Harrison died, the first time, in the year 1858, when according to her diary she was murdered by a secret and nefarious group of Resurrectionists in London, England, who wanted to suppress knowledge of their existence. However, one of[...]
