As many of you know, I work part time at a brick and mortar book store. Being a bookseller, blogger, author, and social media surfer–I get a front seat to the current trends. Some I can see coming from a mile away, while others seeming come from out of nowhere. And guys, the horror genre is DEFINITELY on the rise!
Once upon a time, comic books were collected by a distinct group of people. When I was a teenager, it wasn’t cool to read comics. But now? It’s waaaaaay cool to be spotted with a graphic novel in your bag. And let me tell you, with the rise in Marvel and DC movie reboots, the publishers and book stores are taking notice! In-store manga and comic sections are growing. Toys of every pop culture figure are being created and sold everywhere. And most importantly, more original comic inspired stories are being written!
My all-time favorite horror character is Dracula. Bram Stoker may have written the original novel, but now there are so many versions to choose from; including graphic novels. So join me and celebrate comics and horror by checking out just a few Dracula graphic novels:

Wow! Yea! I’ve never been a graphic novel reader, but it is a truly awesome world… words and art. Dracula is one of those fabulous characters that can be remade a bajillion times and still be terrifying.

I love comics! Comics, comics, comics! I haven’t read any Dracula comics, actually. Except Buffy, of course. Buffy should totally be in your photos there!

Buffy is awesome! Especially the episode with Dracula!
