Midnight Society Movie Night: We Have Always Lived in the Castle
It’s October and time to announce the choice for Midnight Society Movie Night! Once again, I flipped to Netflix and found a film I haven’t seen. Let’s watch We Have Always Lived in the Castle.
We Have Always Lived in the Castle is a 2018 mystery thriller directed by Stacie Passon and written by Mark Kruger and based on the novel by Shirley Jackson.
But you live-tweet horror movies…this does not say horror…
Yeah, well. Horror is lots of things, and people keep talking about this movie, which makes me want to watch it.
Since, I’ve never seen it, I don’t know much, which is the way I like to roll, no preconceived notions, nothing to sway how I see things, and no spoilers. Of course, tweeting these first viewings can be a lot of me screaming in shock or staring in awe. But it certainly includes a plethora of tweets ready to delight and, every once in a while, make you think.
So…
Join me on Twitter #MidnightSocietyMovieNight and #WeHaveAlwaysLivedintheCastle on Friday, October 25th at 9 EST! Bring snacks! Put on your comfy clothes. Pretend we’re all together, hanging out, having fun, watching a movie.
But wait! There’s more!
This is a special month, one where I watch a lot of horror movies, cherished ones I love and new ones to add to my list of creepy. Definitely need to watch Elm Street, Insidious, THe Babadook, Trick or treat, Evil Dead, and maybe Poltergeist! If you’re lucky (or not lucky), you can catch me live-tweeting all month long. And to end the most spookiest time of the year, I want to live-tweet Halloween on Halloween. But choosing just one is hard, so I’ll watch the 1978 and the 2018 Halloweens! LET’S HAVE A TWITTER MOVIE PARTY! Because I have nowhere to go and no one trick-or-treats at my house. *cries forever*
Cheers and nightmares,
Kathy
