Welcome to my new segment here at The Midnight Society! Each Tuesday you can find me here, posting my review on a specific horror film I’ve watched. I’ll also be Tweeting my major thoughts while I watched the movie, so please join me on Tuesday, noon-2:00pm EST on Twitter. I’ll be using #horrormovie and #MidnightSociety.
The movie for the week will be based on what I’m in the mood for and will come from a variety of sources: the library, Redbox, Netflix, my own collection. If you have any suggestions, let me know!

This whole idea of review horror movies came to me when I went in search of a good movie to watch (we currently do not have cable and I’ve already had 3 marathons of BtVS). Nothing at the Redbox was calling to me, that is until I saw the title Frankenstein vs. The Mummy. I figured if nothing else, I’d get a kick out of a campy movie. And it wasn’t even campy:(
I wasn’t surprised that the acting wasn’t the best, that the kissing/love making scenes was kind of pathetic, or that the end fight was all over a girl. The part that really bugged me was the lack of action. Frankenstein and The Mummy don’t fight until the last 5 minutes of the movie! The entire movie led up to the fastest ending ever, which disappointed me a little. Here’s the trailer just in case you want to take a closer look.
