Confession... as much as I love survival horror and go so far as to consider my creative work as survival horror in written form, buuuuuuut.... um, I never played the original Resident Evil. After Silent Hill's genius and Fatal Frame's brutality, there didn't seem to be much of a point. 1 I feel comfortable talking about this now, because it's actually going to happen. This franchise is so near and dear to my heart that I din't want to get my hopes up until it really started to come together. A FRIDAY THE 13TH game is being developed, and it has the potential to be amazing. Right now, there is a Kickstarter project in it's final week, and the funding goal of $700k is almost 90% funded. October is the month of horror, and I'm playing two excellent--but very different--horror games this month. Last week I posted the first episode of my UNTIL DAWN let's play, which is basically a slasher movie you get to play through.
